Amazing looking Car: but with no Tires.

I know, heavy guns have a bit of a recoil to them. But the idea of a cross-hair actually getting in the way of knowing where the real cross-hair: a tiny transparent dot is is innovative in that no one was dumb enough to think of that before.

And even that wouldn't be so bad if the recoil was as if a child was shooting from the him with an assault rifles. Machine guns of this mid 20th century era had recoil and spread, but the mounted state prevented ridiculous spread where rounds would hit 30 degrees away from where the cross-hairs would imply

You actually have no Idea how good this game would be if you would simply replace that grey dot with the bigger crosshair, eliminated the original bigger cross-hair, and made the spread MUCH smaller.

i mentioned many times to swap the transparent circle over your mouse for the cross hair. that way your mouse is less noticed than the actual place where the bullets are hitting. he liked that one better

Major bugs

I died on the first level maybe 10 times before firing randomly at the gas can revealed an invisible enemy. Then from that point the game actually loaded the first shooter.

I want to love this game but it apparently wasn't even properly tested.

Another 10 Rating of course.

Rarely can you find a flash game that is not only as long as this one (without being an RPG) but of such high quality. The painting murals, the narration animation, the fluid game-play, and bosses that required strategy. This rivals both professional animation and the entire indie game industry with such quality.

I'm normally a very critical reviewer, but short of minor issues of lag with picking up new weapons this game is, for all intents and purposes, perfect at what it set out to do.

This just shows what a few people with the right knowhow can accomplish. As for Jazza I could only hope he had a small studio so that we could somehow get Larry episodes on a regular basis. Unfortunately its slow to production, but with the perfect excuse of having a single creator that has other projects as well on top of that whole "life" thing.

When you make a game that almost requires a strategy guide, you made a game worthy of video game past of the 80's and 90's. To everyone who worked on this, bravo. Two and a half episodes, this game, and a series of other mini games, and a character dare I say more iconic than Pico with much more defined lore in such a short span of video time was created.

You couldn't buy better review than this.

A possible sequel?
Shut up and take my money.

What the...

For a minute I thought it was the year 2004 when I saw that for some strange reason the moderation saw fit to advertise this game. Maybe its an old classic being re-advertised? Then I became convinced that you you used a 6 year old outdated form of Flash. Seriously this game is on par with the look of the first pico game. Then I realized that the game was really that badly made with modern tools when compared to modern standards.

And that's just the looks and the fact the entire game was drawn wit basic geometric shapes almost. Gameplay is lacking with the ever dreaded "lol you have 45 degree angles to shoot at but enemies are dynamic in aim" in these kinds of shooters. And outside of what it does have, its incredibly repetitive.

If this is your first rodeo then I can understand but the fact that this is being plastered across the NG homepage as something that we MUST play is going to promise that this game barely warrants a rating of 3/5 and personal reviews might reach an average of below 6/10

Don't Complain

You can't just make a remake of "I Want to be the Guy", but with poor and inconsistent controls and guise it as a "challenge" that people can't handle. If a game gets bashed, it's frankly not that good.

If you intended to make a well designed game that was very hard, you accomplished half of that goal. But if music choice, control scheme, and awful platforming in general was part of the "make the game more intolerable" then congratulations, you made an intolerable game.

If a game is hard to beat because the level requires that good of reflexes, that good of control, and the level design is that complex you have a good game thats damn hard to beat.

If a game is hard to beat because it the control scheme feels like something a flash newbie would upload under the misspelled title of "Mah first test platformer [REALY HAARD]" then expect sub optimal scoring.

Sure this rating seems a little arrogant, but do understand the simple democratic on newgrounds that bad ratings = bad game. This game could be great if it was difficult for honest reasons. Not because you just didn't want to bother adding friction to moving platforms or debug the double jump glitches.

Well

It did proclaim I would hate the game. So 5 stars for honesty I suppose. Other than that I fail to see how this game is supposed to be fun for anyone, but it is to some.

Oh wow!

This is actually a brilliant and original concept. Polish this idea well, graphics and physics wise, and i think you have a front page worthy game.

Some issues, but good still.

Jumping seemed a bit slight compared to what most people are used to in platformers, and the jumping to ledges had some issues with the sliding physics. Other than that, I can see how this game could be great. Maybe with obstacles that take up the entire screen, moving platforms, and maybe some projectiles to avoid. Could be like a painstaking, yet addictive game. Like mega-man with no guns.

Unfair though isn't it?

President: Yes, what is it?

Advisor: A man in Brazil has the sniffles.

President: My God...

Shut.

Down.

EVERYTHING!

Oh come on

I'll rate 9 to be fair as this is not my game but I do have issue with this game.

1) My computer lacks a hemi, and since there is no quality option it lags like hell making a music game IMPOSSIBLE.

2) This makes FL Studio look like Super Mario Paint on the matters of complexity with making songs. This seems like a great game but this needs more than tips for me to know what the hell I'm doing. This needs a real manual, which is unheard of in flash games.
